  6. OMG! Today I was that person, you know, the one you write about and say, “Are you f—ing kidding me?”
I was helping a friend move (big mistake and I don’t recommend this for anyone) and they sent me out to get lunch for four.
The order was complicated enough that they wrote it down for me. One burger with cheese and ketchup only, the other without cheese but with everything else. After reading your blog I knew better than to try to make this order at the drive-thru window so I went inside.
After making sure my order was correct the total came to $23.98. I knew I only had $20 cash but what I didn’t know was that I had left my credit card at home. I searched my purse as the people behind me waited. I got that sinking feeling and asked if I could write a check.
The poor guy tried not to roll his eyes as he asked his boss if they took checks. As I was calculating what item to remove from my order they agreed to take my twenty and let me write a check for $3.98. I thanked him profusely and then I did the unthinkable…I asked to borrow his pen.

    • I love that you went inside. That made some DriveThruGuy’s day and he doesn’t even know it! Crazy that they accepted the check, who would have thought? but awesome for you!
